1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use the ColdGuard Platform:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication tokens provided by Firebase Auth.
• Hardware Telemetry: Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT) readings, battery status, and door open/close events collected from the ColdGuard ESP32 device.
• Institution Data: The organizational clinic or health institution you are associated with.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

• To provide and maintain the ColdGuard monitoring service safely.
• To synchronize offline hardware logs with your institutional dashboard via Convex.
• To notify you about critical alerts, such as hardware failures or dangerous temperature spikes.
• To improve the reliability of the device firmware and mobile application.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Telemetry and account information are shared strictly within your associated Health Institution's portal. Administrators of your institution have access to the hardware logs synced by your account. We may also disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us. We use Firebase Auth for identity management and Convex for institutional mapping and secure real-time data synchronization. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Offline data is stored on external SD cards on the device until synchronized.
